    • Trivia
While Frank is doing a crossword, he does not figure out that a clue for a six letter city in Texas refers to Dallas until Carol tells him. Patrick Duffy, who plays Frank, is best known for playing Bobby Ewing in Dallas (1978).
    • Goofs
When the Al and Brendan are trying to convince Carol to allow them to care for their neighbor's dog, Carol objects saying they couldn't handle the responsibility, while Frank interjects that it would teach them some responsibility. The argument doesn't make much sense when Al already has a pet she cares for, Bullet the Pig, which made sporadic appearances in season 1 and one appearance in season 2 prior to this episode.
