    • Trivia
The British Guiana 1850 Six-Cent Magenta stamp is fictitious, but is clearly based on the real-life 1856 British Guiana One-Cent Magenta, which is regarded by philatelists as the "world's rarest stamp." Only one is known to exist. In June 2014 the 1856 British Guiana One-Cent Magenta was sold at auction in New York to an anonymous bidder for $9.5 million (£5.6m), setting a world record, and an amount much higher the $300,000 (or $1.6m in 2014 terms) value of the stamp at the center of this murder mystery.
    • Goofs
In the police lab at the very beginning of Act IV.
    • Quotes

Inspector Steve Keller: The last word's 'philately.' It means...

Detective Lt. Mike Stone: I know what it means--stamps.

      Inspector Steve Keller: [surprised] Right.

Detective Lt. Mike Stone: [smiling] No college, but a lot of crossword puzzles.
