I Ain't Marchin' Anymore

This episode has an unusual announcement before Act 1. The episode is about a "draft dodger" who has come back to the United States after fleeing to Canada. When the episode filmed in the Spring of 1974, desertion was still a crime, however, on Sept. 16, 1974, President Gerald R. Ford issued a proclamation that offered amnesty to those who evaded the draft during the Vietnam War and to those in the military who deserted their duty while serving. This episode aired after that decision was made on October 10, 1974, so the announcement was to clarify that the "story takes place in the Spring of 1974".

When Keller goes to visit the Zahns he looks at a few pictures of their son Bob. One is a picture of Bob in his USMC uniform and hat, however his hair is the same as it was in the opening segment. A Marine would have a very short regulation haircut.
