A very good episode of this otherwise run-of-the-mill police show.

Lots of action and suspense make this a particularly good episode of "The Streets of San Francisco". Lt. Stone (actor Karl Malden) partners with a rookie cop to take down a bookmaking operation, and get the man at the top.

Is Lt. Keller (actor Michael Douglas) totally in the dark, or does he know what is really going on?

Good acting on all parts. Officer Danny Segal (actor Robert Drivas) is a bit too klutzy, but that's necessary for the set up of his character.

Nice appearance by actor David White as racketeer/gambler "Frank Garson". White is easily recognized as "Larry Tate" from the TV show "Bewitched". Also coming in strong is actor Jason Evers, as the character "Ben Rush"

Was actor Robert Drivas being positioned for a future role in The Streets of San Francisco? Was he being considered as a replacement for Michael Douglas, who was already in contract disputes and planning to leave the series?

A few blemishes keep me from rating this 10 stars:

1. Officer Danny Segal is wearing more makeup than Tammy Faye Baker.

2. What happened to "Evie", a blast from the past girlfriend of Police Officer Segal? Played by the stunningly beautiful actress Claudia Jennings (read about her tragic real-life story in the bio), there is no finality regarding her character. The same with girlfriend "Donna Sinclair" (actress Leslie Charleson)... she is in and out of the story.
