    Try to remember

Don't worry, folks, I will never forget this plot, because it is pretty fine, in the mood of this series. It is fun to watch, entertaning and easy to undertsannd, especially in the end. From the very beginning, you feel it will be interesting, though not really exciting, riveting as other plots. I knew in advance that there will be a terrific twist, but more in terms of memory - because the scheme of this story is precisely the loss of memory problem. But concerning me, I won't need any lecture, any lesson. The perfect story for such an anthology series. Good and solid plot. You won't regret it.

fairly dark entry in the popular series

Perhaps due to the good casting of this episode - Colin Blakely and Bernard Cribbins - 'The Memory Man' leads you to the twist without you spotting it, and the ending is done very well.

Colin Mearns (Blakely) makes a living helping people to remember whatever they've forgotten, even putting cards in shop windows to get punters for his course. One pupil, Mr King (Bernard Cribbins) turns up one day, agitated and in need to remember the number of a locker at a railway station and the combination to open it. But he has a strange effect on Mearns - is he really who he says he is? Moving along at a good pace, this episode has some twists and turns, and a decent supporting performance from Judy Geeson as Mearns' on-off girlfriend.

It's perhaps amongst the best of the later series episodes and is well worth watching.
