Chrissy comes into a fair amount of money ($1637 must have sounded like a more impressive amount back in 1980) when Jack places some successful bets for her at the race track. The roommates are practically giddy thinking about what they can do with the money.
However, they start to needle each other for what they consider to be unwise purchases, and this opens the floodgates in terms of the three just sniping at each other for every annoying habit. (Ex. Jack making train tracks with a fork in his farina, Chrissy loudly scraping the carbon off her toast.)
The cheesy but undeniably effective psychiatrist Dr. Prescott (Joel Brooks) makes a welcome encore appearance when Chrissy decides that they need outside help in working out their differences. In the end, they prove that old adage that having money to burn is not necessarily a good thing.
Among the highlights are the "play-acting" moments: Jack giving a toy giraffe a "voice", or Janet doing an impression of Jack. Overall, there are enough laughs here to make this a good time for a 'Three's Company' fan.
Eight out of 10.
