    jake the mighty hero

The may they made it seem like charlie and alan were fighters and the fought a monster who's their mom and sending jake there makes it seem that he too will fight and won't get out of there alive and will lose to her and in the end when they praised him like a legend who brought the monster down and is the chosen one the funniest episode of two and a half men.

    Very, very funny!!!!

"Squab, Squab..." is the best episode that I've seen for this show. I laughed almost continuously throughout the whole airing! Thanks to very creative writing and acting this is one of my top ten TV show episodes! I saw family life from all three generations, the "ups" and "downs" from all perspectives, adding a touch of family "baggage" then mixing in such a degree of funny that it made me roar with laughter. The episode usually ends with the word "Men" sung at the end which I would listen for... which created the final touch of humor. It's isn't often that a TV show can make me laugh after it runs into a commercial which this episode did :-)

And They Shall Call Him Jake!

Jake spends a weekend at Grandma Evelyn's house much to his disappointment. When Evelyn hears Jake spending time with other grandparents for a week, she gets jealous. She doesn't want a week with Jake but a night. Charlie and Alan spoil Jake before the big night. Jake surprises everybody including Evelyn. Jake wants spaghetti with ketchup rather sushi. Evelyn is broken by the time that Charlie and Alan arrive to check up on Jake. They fear for Jake's well being after a night with Evelyn. Perhaps they should be worried about Evelyn though. Jake doesn't want sushi or squab. It's a great episode with memorable lines. Holland Taylor's Evelyn has to be one of the show's best assets.

    • Trivia
Jake's acceptable dinner, spaghetti with cut-up hot dogs, is the same as Sheldon's in The Big Bang Theory (2007), another Chuck Lorre sitcom.
    • Goofs
The amount of spaghetti that spilled on Evelyn's floor is much more than was originally on Jake's plate.
    • Quotes

Jake Harper: [just learned that he has to spend the night at Evelyn's] What did I ever do to you?

      Alan Harper: It's - it's not a punishment.

Jake Harper: It's not a prize! I'm calling Mom!

Alan Harper: No, no, no! No calling Mom.

Jake Harper: I know my rights! I get one phone call!

    • Crazy credits
At the end of the second act, instead of the background vocalists singing "MEN", they sing "SQUAB".
