The Cost of Living

Raynor decides it's time to cash in; he arranges a meeting with Oakwood to hand over all of his evidence, but one of them has been followed, and the case is stolen. Raynor knows that his cover is blown.

It's a great final episode; it's very satisfying, and it's very neatly tied up. All of the dangling threads from the first couple of episodes are explained and concluded.

It's quite an exciting episode; it certainly packs a few shocks and surprises. It's quite a bleak conclusion, not afraid to wipe out several characters. I had my suspicions about Mr. Pink.

Leslie Grantham delivers yet another great performance; he's terrific. I don't think that during all the years I watched him playing Dirty Den, I appreciated just how good he was. Credit also goes to Julie Graham.

I had no idea there was a second series; this has made me want to order it.
