    terror of war

There is a woman whose husband went to war. She watches hallucination while she does house work and sleeps. Suddenly, Japanese army appears in front of her and tries to kill her. She is afraid of and strikes him with tea cup. However, he disappears and she gets hurt her hand. After that, her husband came home and he talks about war with her. She picked up bag and open. There are fingers of Japanese army and she is very surprised. However, he talks about them with philosophy. At last, she cried.

First, I couldn't understand this movie's message. Mr.Alec explain about it, I could understand a little. Probably, I think that she found that he changes after coming home. He talks about war with philosophy. If I were him, I will talk about war with wept tears of regret. I think that War made him changed, so I was scared very much.

    human mind

The Embers is a serious short movie. A young woman is waiting for her husband who is a soldier coming back from world war. She worries him until her mind become funny. Therefore she watches hallucinations that he is killed by an Asian enemy again and again. She sends uneasy days.

I like this story. This describes change of human mind by the war and the figure of suffering woman from the feelings she can not control. The pictures are very realistic. It tells us the horror of war. However, the pictures are slightly fierce for me. The dishes she uses are good thing but not brand-new. It expresses that era which is not rich at all.

Anybody do not watch this movie without thinking about war. It is a very nice. This movie is very wonderful because this includes that important things in only 12 minutes. I really think that this story is constructed well.

    Fear

During war time, a woman waits for her husband in a cabin in the deep woods alone. She bears the absence of her husband in front of people, but her heart is torn for her supposedly dead partner, agonizing how he was suffered at his last, and she starts to see nightmares. However, when it turns out that her husband has actually been alive, true nightmare begins to afflict her.

When I watch this film, my first impression was "shocking." It is not any sort of documentary film but it certainly depicts a fear of war. I cannot forget the Japanese soldier's glaring eyes, staring straight at the protagonist. I ultimately shared the same fear as she feels about the war theater and anxiety for her husband's life. During these scenes, my heart beat faster and faster, and the scenes were even intensified by being shot in the darkness, which inflamed terror in me.

A longing short about the consequences of war

A woman waits for her husband to return from the war, alone and heartbroken, and also being hunted by the ghost of the same war.

The short certainly knows how to grab the viewer's attention. It starts with a slow pace, which is maintained throughout the entire short, but just when the viewer thinks that they are going to get bored, there's an incident that hook us right in. The strangeness and the surrealism of the situation let us see just how much the woman is suffering by the absence of her husband, no dialogue needed.

The placing of the setting is amazingly good, too. Without truly mentioning out loud, we know-- by the silence of the women, the state of the house, and the sad feeling of it-- that there's a war going on, and that the main character has been left waiting, and waiting.

Despite its good points, the ending is a little anticlimatic. There's no resolution for the woman, and the incident that hooked the spectator in isn't explained at all. Even when the short manages to grab our attention and have us patiently waiting through its slow pace for a resolution, it fails to deliver a satisfying explanation for just what the story is really about.

    !

I thought this movie described many times foot. The first part of this movie, I was impressive that scene underfoot of girl wearing new shoes and clothes. Her foot like she ware tap dancing the first excitement of the movie. Of course, it was excited me. The next, it was also good scene that underfoot of two girls ware walking along the line with holding hands. Depiction of her foot of the second half and first half was not very opposite. Her feet reflected in the second half of the film were, very dark unlike the first half. In the same way, Compared to the first half and the second half, depiction of their hands of the two girls ware different impressions. Especially, I felt something that nobody knows that scene two girls holding hands when they go home on the end of movie. I thought hearts of children are very difficult. Would her father and mother have been aware of the change of heart of their daughter?
