Duncan tries to seduce a pesky reporter but his troubles are only beginning. Karl's wife wants his mistress Marla to join them at couples therapy.

Duncan asks Brody to help him acquire some incriminating evidence. Karl's wife hires a private eye to track him and see if he is having an affair and James goes on his first blind date after his separation.

James upsets Katie when he becomes involved with his new business consultant Rebecca Parks who advocates downsizing in Katie's area. Brody races Duncan's bitter rival Terrence Hill to get hold of Dontrelle's little black book. Meanwhile, Duncan is tempted by his beautiful ex Wanda but stays faithful to Lisbeth. But can the same be said about Lisbeth? Elsewhere, Karl sets up Marla with his office colleague Phil but ends up not liking the results.

James worries that his children will forget him when he learns that his ex-wife has a new boyfriend in her life. Duncan's planned romantic weekend away with Lisbeth is ruined when he is blackmailed over the little black book. Meanwhile, Karl & Wendy's couples therapist recommends that they start having sex again.

Duncan tries everything in his power to win Lisbeth back from Terrance. Elsewhere, Wendy decides she and Karl should resume their attempts to have a baby but when the fertility specialist tells Wendy that her chances of carrying are virtually nil Marla volunteers to be a surrogate - much to the horror of Karl. Meanwhile, James is double-crossed by financial news reporter Alex Mason and Cameron finds out who Zack really is - Duncan's son.

Duncan pretends to look like a great businessman and a perfect father - but it all blows up in his face when Cameron doesn't participate. Lisbeth lies to Terrance and meets with Duncan which enrages Terrance who goes to the media about his liaison with Dontrelle. The Board of Reveal fire Duncan immediately. Meanwhile, Wendy makes increasingly bizarre demands to Marla and Karl in her pursuit of a baby. Elsewhere, Brody's father-in-law Larry visits and manages to alienate all around him.

James' ex-wife Stacey tells him she's pregnant and is moving with her new partner Nick to California prompting James to begin a custody battle. Duncan goes to extreme lengths to retrieve his CEO title. Karl's high-school nemesis Eddie Jenowski returns and initially is super nice to Karl until Karl won't give him a letter of recommendation to the country club. Then he turns bully again resulting in Karl challenging him to a boxing match. Cameron and Zack host a party in Duncan's apartment when he's away but later suspects that Zack is lying about being Duncan's son and initiates her own DNA test. Terrance tells Lisbeth that he will get Duncan reinstated on the Reveal board if she marries him and stays away from Duncan.

Duncan goes out of his way to land Riko Mara as Reveal's agent spokes-model but finds that Terrance has bought up seats on the board of Reveal thwarting his plans. Brody and Janelle spice up their lives with alter egos. Cameron tells Duncan that Zack is not his son. Zack tries to win Duncan back by exposing Terrance's affair with a stripper but Duncan tells him he cannot trust him. Lisbeth and Terrance get married and Katie and James get together as a couple. Zack breaks into Duncan's apartment when he is at the wedding and drinks and takes tranquilizers and is found unconscious by Duncan when he returns.

Zach is hospitalized at Bellevue after his suicide attempt. Reveal are at the center of a contaminated cosmetics scare and a prom event which drives Reveal's stock down. Duncan finds out that Terrance is buying up this stock when it dips. Duncan tells Lisbeth who doesn't believe him. James wants the office to know that he and Katie are an item but Katie wants to keep it secret. A co-worker Kevin finds out and tries to blackmail James. Marla confirms she is pregnant and lies to Karl that it is not his baby. Brody agrees to represent baseball star Gary Gregg but his representation drives a wedge in his marriage to Janelle. Elsewhere, Duncan becomes attracted to Valerie Cerritas. Zack escapes from Bellevue and approaches Terrance.

Zack goes missing after killing Terrance and the police question Duncan over a taped conversation Zack had with him in Bellevue. Lisbeth assumes control over Reveal after Terrance leaves her his shares but Terrance's sister and Duncan's ex Victoria tells both of them she will be contesting the will. Janelle finds out about Brody's apartment and insists on being part of his other life. Katie and James decide they'd be better being a couple than not. Elsewhere, Marla and Karl tell Wendy that they had an affair and she kicks both of them out. They go to extreme lengths to win her back and eventually succeed. She then tells Karl that she is also pregnant. Duncan receives a copy of an article on Terrance's death from Zack with a note asking "Are you proud of me now, Dad?"
