    Working for Caligula

Having painted themselves into a bit of a corner at the end of the 3rd series the writers, in true sitcom style, spend much of this 1st episode of the 4th series getting themselves out of it, and the series back to the standard format as quick as possible.

The tone would become darker from this point on, the sex jokes a bit more frequent.

This for the most part remained a fun episode though.

    • Trivia
During his party, Charlie is shown to have a game of "cockeyed chess" set up on his coffee table. This is an absurdist version of chess in which the players drink their captured enemies and are able to see their own faces in the reflective board, which serves as a metaphor for the players' narcissism and increasingly drunken foolishness.
    • Goofs
Member of the crew is visible behind Alan, on the far left, as he is walking into the kitchen.
    • Quotes

      Alan Harper: Rose?

      Rose: Yes, sweetie?

      Alan Harper: You're a stalker.

Rose: I prefer to be called "boundary challenged".

      Alan Harper: Just go away.

      Rose: Go away?

      [chuckles]

      Rose: Alan, I'm a stalker.
