It's bold, you can't deny that.

Venger is stealing fighters from across the ages in an attempt to alter the children's timeline, ensuring they were never born. His plan takes a dark turn when he lands on German Luftwaffe pilot, Josef.

You have to hand it to the writing team-this episode is incredibly imaginative and creative. The plot is so deep, it likely went over the heads of some younger viewers.

Let's talk about Josef. He's a Nazi, one who's eager to toss his Nazi armband (sensibly altered) into the water. He arrives as a monster, but leaves as a hero. That's some clever messaging right there.

I'm also sure Peter Cullen's voice is sounding a little different in this final run-maybe it's been tweaked to reflect the shift in tone, or maybe it's just a personal touch.

It's not my personal favourite episode, but I have to applaud the magical, bold writing. I don't think any other show was as creative as this.

                    7/10.

The Luftwaffe pilot "Josef Mueller" shares a name with a number of real life figures who resisted the Nazi Party during World War II; including Josef "Ochsensepp" Müller, German politician and founding member of the Christian Social Union, and Father Joseph Müller, a Catholic priest who was executed for publicly mocking Adolf Hitler.
                    • Goofs
The plane Joseph Müller flies and crashes is clearly a Junkers Ju-87 "Stuka". While he claims he came from 1945 he also says that the "Stuka" is the latest design while in reality the Stuka, which was first flown in 1935, was considered obsolete by 1945.
