    It's getting steadily worse.

The Free attack Drathro's base, thinking they e destroyed it, The Doctor and Peri also go back underground in order to try and save the primitive tribe, who are walking into sudden disaster.

It's not a disaster, but it is poor, the switching back and forth to the court room scenario and main story is jarring, the action begins, and you're shoved back into the repetitive scenario of the Doctor insulting The Valeyard.

It's messy, and somehow doesn't flow very well. Unusually for Doctor Who, the story has lost interest as it's progressed, usually it's the other way around, all that mystery and intrigue about Ravalox, the underground sign, escalators etc has all been lost, which is a real shame.

Colin's costume is loved by many, personally I loathed it, against the drab background it somehow manages to look even more garish, as indeed does Nicola's deckchair jacket.

After such a promising start it's steadily dwindling away into a story lacking any degree of interest. I've mentioned previously, Sims was not the right choice for Katryca, she's reminding me a little of Beryl Reid in Earthshock.

    Not holding my interest. 5/10

The Trial of a Time Lord: Part Three

The Doctor and Peri reunite briefly. Only for Katryca to imprison them along with Glitz and Dibber.

The Doctor is not happy that Dibber has destroyed the black light converter.

Drathro, the Immortal one sends out a service robot to get the Doctor from Katryca and her tribe.

The Doctor learns from Glitz that planet Ravalox is Earth all along but shifted a few light years.

As for the trial scenes, the Doctor comes up with the Scrapyard quip. I do wonder given that some evidence has been withheld by the Valeyard as it is not in the public interest. Whether the Doctor knows things are not quiet what it seems.

This episode also attempts to deal with one issue in the trial format. How does the Matrix know of events taking place without the Doctor involved. The answer it seems that it has been collected by the TARDIS, even an old type like the Doctor's.

I managed to warm to this episode simply because of the Glitz and Dibber double act. The best thing in this.

The Inquisitor: Valeyard, are these unpleasant scenes necessary to your case? I find primitive physical violence distressing.

The Doctor: So do I, ma'am, especially when I'm on the receiving end.
