Shekar kammula is strong in screenplay. This movie has many elements ..love,ego,fun,romance. Feel good songs with Perfect cinematography. Story is simple but screenplay makes it beautiful. The best scene comes where Ram and Seetha explains about their opp lead characters with Ravindra and his uncle. Nothing much to explain. Its a feel good love story with minor loop holes (they can be exception )
The other day when I was telling my mother how refreshing this movie was, she asked me why I thought it was so special. I said, "Imagine being out of hometown for a couple of weeks and living on junk food. When you return home and have simple homemade rice and curry, how do you feel?"
In addition to capturing life around the lifeline of Andhra, Godavari, in a laudable manner, the movie makers put together a good cast. Radhakrishna embellished the movie by wrapping Veturi's lyrics in melodious tunes. Godavari might not be remembered by Thelugus four or five decades down the line like how Lavakusa is, but it can make any given evening pleasant and memorable. Anyone who loved movies that were made by Baapu or Viswanath (or one of their ilk) will add Sekhar Kammula to their list after watching this movie.
Movies such as this salvage Thelugu cinema and rekindle hopes, in people like me, that there still are people who can make neat, simple, and straightforward Thelugu movies. Kudos to Kammula and his team!

I have watched this movie 50 times
Love this movie like anything
Street dog scenes are very nice
It is a type of movie that you will never become bored no matter how many times you watch it. Magical soundtracks, cute performances by both the lead. It will put a smile on your face. I highly recommend it to those who haven't seen it yet.
By far the best Telugu movie I have seen. I am a Tamilian but I like Telugu movies. Godhavari really touched my heart, every moment of it was just pure emotions. The cute dog especially, hats-off to the creativity of the director and the graphics in-charge. Sumanth and Kamalini were great, the way Kamalini expresses her emotions in every scene is remarkable. Being a Bengali, acting and moving lips to a Telugu script must have been difficult, but she has done it with ease. The music was enchanting though I understood very little - the lyrics. The editing was also great, flawless. Hats off to the whole team of Godhavari.
