if you haven't watched it yet (but have it on Tivo or something) i advise you to not get your hopes up.
Combine bad acting with bad filming and bad script (ugg that stupid little girl!!!! Garrr I wanted to shake her!!!) and you get part 1 of 3 part "Super Bowl episode".
watch it anyway though, its a 3 parter so I would guess the next two won't make much sense if you don't see the first.
Or on another note, don't watch it, and like me consider boycotting the show all together.
The episode is executed well, it just feels a little like mimicry. The writing, direction, supporting characters, all reminiscent of ER. Even the music this episode uses, predominantly, an in-house produced score. There are a couple uses of outside, musician produced songs, a Grey's signature. But for a majority of the episode the background music is in-house background ambience, just like ER. The only difference, really, between a Grey's and ER episode is the camera work.
Rant over, still an excellent, well produced episode of Grey's.

- GoofsOn multiple occasions, characters use the word "emergent" incorrectly to refer to emergency situations. Emergent is not synonymous with emergency in all cases. An emergent clinical issue may not be an emergency. It could be very minor, even if it emerges rapidly. Emergencies are more serious incidents.
