    Little guys in little adventures

'Tiny Toon Adventures' had a lot of episodes not made up of just one story but instead made up of between two to four segments generally linked by a certain theme. Some episodes with this format did it more successfully than others, a lot of them execute this format very well but there are episodes where there is one segment that isn't as strong as the others (an inevitable and can be common problem with segment/portmanteau episodes, that being the matter of consistency).

"Looking Out for the Little Guy" is a pleasant enough episode, with three segments making it up. They being "Awful Orphan" (with Elmyra), "The Re-Return of the Toxic Revenge" (with Plucky and Montana Max) and "Bird-Dog Afternoon" (with Furrball). It's enjoyable and charming enough, but although there are a lot of strong things in the whole episode and each of the segments there is not much exceptional about it. Other 'Tiny Toon Adventures' episodes did this structure much better.

For me, "The Re-Return of the Toxic Revenge" is the best of the three, being the funniest, the most thrilling, the most inventive and the only one of the three stories to not feel too cute. That Plucky is one of my favourite 'Tiny Toon Adventures' characters may have a lot to do with it. "Awful Orphan" is amusing and charming and Elmyra avoids over-cuteness and brattiness, there is also not an awful lot hilarious and Sneezer needed more of a stronger personality to stick out more as a character.

Wasn't too big on "Bird-Dog Afternoon", the best thing about it being the title. Whether one enjoys it is dependent on their thoughts on Furrball, to me not a bad character but other 'Tiny Toon Adventures' characters are far more compelling, while the story could have done with more energy and the conflict with more tension.

Lots of vibrancy and attention to detail in the animation for all three segments, while the music is typically characterful and dynamic. The hip and infectious theme song still delights and never will cease to. There is some smart writing, though it generally could have done with more wit. Most of the characters are fine and cannot find any fault with the voice acting.

In conclusion, pleasant enough if unexceptional. 7/10
