    Pure Greatness In This Episode!

Seriously, I enjoyed this episode as long with my other favorites (Citizen Max, Pollution Solution, and Fields of Honey). My favorite segment is ''Home Wrecker'' where Montana Max builds his summer house onto Buster's property. Monty has a deed to have his summer house onto Buster's home, and Max stays there for a vacation. The funny gags between Buster and Montana Max made me laugh so much! Seriously, Monty makes a great character in this episode. Love watching it over and over again!

Getting a bite out of Tiny Toons

It is always very interesting when a show you love puts its own spin on a special occasion etc, such as Halloween, Christmas and Thanksgiving for holidays and the likes of birthdays, family/friend holidays and awards celebrations. Of which there are great examples of all, animation and not. That is what 'Tiny Toon Adventures' does celebrating the Halloween theme with "Stuff that Goes Bump in the Night".

"Stuff that Goes Bump in the Night" is one of the 'Tiny Toons Adventures' episodes that is not one story but instead is one made up of three segments, a portmanteau, honouring the Halloween theme. These three segments are "Home Wrecker" (with Buster, Babs and Montana Max), "Fang You Very Much" (with Elmyra and a vampire bat) and "Easy Biter" (with Hamton and a mosquito). It doesn't do too bad a job doing this, it's mostly solid in my mind but one of the segments didn't really work for me.

That segment was "Easy Biter". Like Hamton as a character, he's not the problem here. Bigger problems were that it has the least to do with Halloween (it could easily pass for a standard segment for any 'Tiny Toon Adventures' episode that doesn't have a theme), the mosquito character didn't strike me as an interesting character and has pretty much nothing to do with the theme and the conflict from personal view lacks tension and excitement.

Both "Home Wrecker" and "Fang You Very Much" fare much better. Absolutely love Buster and Babs as characters, did from the very start and that love never stopped, and their chemistry is wonderfully witty and sharp as a razor. As are their wacky exchanges and Charlie Adler and particularly Tress MacNeille sink their teeth into them. Montana Max has continued to grow on me, wasn't sure about him when watching the show as a child.

Despite usually liking Buster and Babs over Elmyra, the best of the segments for me was "Fang You Very Much". It was the one that felt the most Halloween-y and it was very funny and suitably spooky. Elmyra avoids being too cutesy and is not obnoxious (not like she is in 'Pinky, Elmyra and the Brain') and the vampire bat is easily my favourite of "Stuff that Goes Bump in the Night's" supporting characters.

Animation is bright and rich in detail and spooky atmosphere, especially in "Fang You Very Much". The music is as good as the old Looney Tunes cartoons (prime-Looney Tunes, not most of the 60s ones) in being characterful and adding to the action, if not quite enhancing it in the same way. It always helps to have a memorable theme tune, and the one for 'Tiny Toon Adventures' is suitably hip and very catchy. The voice acting is great across the board.

In conclusion, very enjoyable despite one inferior segment. 8/10
