    Not bad

Now I know why people like comparing CG to Death Note so much haha, the parallels are apparent as both Ryuk and C. C bestow a power to Light and Lelouch respectively before proceeding to approach them unexpectedly and stay in their homes, with C. C even saying a similar line of Ryuk's "You're an interesting person". The music playing in this scene is a little loud and doesn't really fit though.

Another similarity I've noticed was how Suzaku was berated by both the Japanese and Brittanians, reminiscent of real life half-Japanese discrimination from both sides, as well as how Kato from Gantz was similarly chided for helping the civilians in Osaka too late. This also reminds me a lot of how the Marleyan Eldians were treated in Attack on Titan by both sides, with the trope of honorary statuses for both Marleyans and Britannians.

Lastly, the foiling of Lelouch and Suzaku was unexpected but well appreciated. Although the direction with the jump cuts were weak in comparison to how DN did it in the finale of episode 2 with Light and L, it's fascinating to see two childhood friends who shared the same ideals yet go about to fulfilling them in very different ways.

Overall, it was a pretty good episode 6.3/10.
