Nathan Petrelli

Nathan Petrelli: You're meant to do a lot of things, Peter.
[sits down next to Peter]
Nathan Petrelli: But saving the world isn't one of them. You gotta learn to recognize when life is bigger than you are. You're not a fighter. But that's okay, the world needs nurses, too.
Peter Petrelli: When I'm around you, I can do what you can do. Isaac, Hiro Nakamura, this girl Claire - I-I-I think that we're all the same, somehow, and this bomb that Isaac painted, I think that we're supposed to stop it, but I just... I don't think I can do it.
[Peter looks away from Nathan]
Nathan Petrelli: That's because you can't.
Sylar: [Peter turns around to see Sylar appearing and sitting where Nathan was a moment before] How can you stop what's coming, when you don't know anything about power?
[Peter wakes up from his dream]

Peter Petrelli: [Nathan walks into Peter's cell] What are you doing here, Nathan?
Nathan Petrelli: [he tosses Peter's possessions bag at him] Let's go.
Peter Petrelli: You aren't going to ask what happened?
Nathan Petrelli: I *know* what happened. You got yourself in trouble, you nearly got yourself killed.
Peter Petrelli: I saved a girl.
Nathan Petrelli: Had to be a hero, didn't you? Get it out of your system now?
Peter Petrelli: I'm finally getting it, Nathan. I've had these dreams and when I was near them, I could do what they could do.
Nathan Petrelli: You look like hell.
Peter Petrelli: I was with that girl, and that guy that was trying to kill that girl, and this, this cop... I, I think he was reading my mind. They were all like us.
Nathan Petrelli: Dysfunctional?
Peter Petrelli: No... they... Nathan, I have to stop that bomb, I have to save everybody.
Nathan Petrelli: Right now I'd settle for you walking straight.

Peter Petrelli: [Nathan walks into Peter's cell] Nathan. What are you... - What are you doing here?
Nathan Petrelli: You get in trouble, I drop everything and fix it. Isn't that how things work? Get you out of here soon.
[Nathan and Peter hug]
Peter Petrelli: What, no lecture?
Nathan Petrelli: I'm just glad you're alive, man.
Peter Petrelli: Why did you destroy that painting? Why did you try and keep me from coming here?
Nathan Petrelli: That painting showed you dead, Peter. And when I got the phone call, I nearly believed it for a minute.
Peter Petrelli: Yeah, I'd thought I'd be a hero.
Nathan Petrelli: Yeah, heh. How'd that work out for you?
Peter Petrelli: Save the cheerleader, save the world.
