David Koresh Redux

A young girl finds her way through the desert and collapses on he edge of a highway. She has escaped from on of those polygamy cults lead by a "prophet" who has been impregnating children for years in the name of his religion. The cult started in Canada and he is wanting to start a new city where men rule their wives and scripture is used to justify murder. It also reveals something about the young girl and her mother. It's also one of those episodes where the result is really hard on Don and Charlie.

Trivia
Guest star Teri Polo previously appeared as one of the characters introduced in the final season of Northern Exposure (1990), to help fill the void left as star Rob Morrow was being phased out due to contract disputes.

Goofs
The vulture that swoops down to Josephine Kirtland and is chased away by the truck driver is a White-backed Vulture (Gyps africanus) from Africa, a species not found in the U.S.A.
