I happened across this movie on TBN one night when it first came out. I was captivated and intrigued. I was captivated because of the love story embedded in the movie and by the conflicts posed by the characters. This movie debated and gave much thought to the pros and cons of abortion and parental rights. I was interested in hearing the arguments of both sides and listened intently. The arguments presented were not complicated but were based on common sense and truth. It is a film full of value for young minds as well as adult minds. The arguments presented can set the foundation for other controversial issues we face personally and as a nation. Highly recommend this movie to everyone for a full discussion on the controversial issues.
This review is just about as diametrically opposite of the last reviewer as you can get. This was never made as a 'for profit' work, so trying to 'capitalize' is rather silly; money, capital, is not an issue. Sure, court IS boring, even more boring than most sports events. Both do have most of the people sitting around and waiting, and most uninvolved. But for the people involved in any court case, the emotions are very real and very important. This film is really about seeing things from another person's perspective; walking a mile in the other person's shoes. Had the first reviewer even bothered to watch to the end he would have realized that. The 'villain' of the first 90% of the film is finally realized to be simply a victim herself. That's what makes this a good film; the empathy one ends up feeling. Is it moralistic? Sure. Has that become a problem today? Sure, it deals with abortion in a far more real way than the slogans and platitudes normal given. It also deals with marriage problems in a better way than any current film short of "Fireproof". Is the sound track up to par? Please, this was a student film. You can't expect that. It might just be the best student film I've ever seen.
Excellent story and acting. Its worth watching whether you are religious or not.
Totally worth to watch! Believe what you want to believe, don't believe in what you don't want to believe. If you believe there is nothing, you won't ever try to protect it. If you believe there is something, you need to fight to protect it. A good movie that really taught me to do good than what is right because what is right might not always good but what good will always be right. Human being is a mankind that can create a value to measure up someone, but being a good man is more than that. Almost all of us growing up with tradition, doctrine, all of that false value. What define someone isn't that. What define someone is still inside themselves, yep, their heart.
Sometimes you need to lose to win over something. Sometimes you need to protect something so hard before you give all of it to the right owner that you believe can take care of it.
Sometimes, you need to stop assuming by yourself just because there is something bad happened about it in your past.
More of it, believe in what you think is right, let God do the rest....
Here is a bit review from than might not really special ^^ Have a nice day~

I admit that this isn't the highest quality production, but in a way similar to Fireproof, the work accomplished for the money spent is amazing. Highly recommend that you see the additional features on the DVD to better understand just how grass-roots this effort was.
This film shows young people seriously facing the big moral questions of our times, and shows them willing to think it through with more than just an Mtv (if it feels good do it) mentality.
The prevailing wind of human nature doesn't lead us toward goodness... this film definitely gives strength to those who want to stand against the prevailing winds.
