Maybe the director and the producers just want you to give up right on the first episode. Maybe they want you to get upset because you're expecting somenthing like a traditional good stuff coming from hbo and not a soap-opera sort of thing. Also, maybe there is something else underneath all that ordinary, unrelated, pointless talk and talk and....talk. Ultemately, maybe they want you to forget that you are watching the remarkable Kate Winslet in her first major TV role. Considering all that I'll give a second chance next week.
