Bombay Begums (2021)

Review by khurramladhani

Bombay Begums

2/10

First 20 minutes of first episode ! Dusted.

I wonder who approved this show to be streamed on Netflix ?

Though, it's totally unjust to rate and write a review after watching only first 20 minutes of the first episode; but somehow it's cause of those quality production which these streaming service has shown us in last few years that an audience makes a judgment in a time which is equivalent to a summary of a book at blinkist.

The screenplay, dialogues and direction is somewhat appearing very robotic as an unseen force telling the characters to say and do certain things to bring another character in the frame. Situations are buildup from no where and dialogues are delievred as of writing PhD thesis.

PS: "I wish, in my early years, if I was fired from my fist or second job and while brushing my teeth in that same office washroom I would had came across my CEO who then would have offered me a more prestigious position" ! I suppose this one scene should be enough to say good bye to this show.
