I don't like to look up reviews before watching a movie but I'm sorry I didn't on this occasion. I can appreciate the acting and some of the cinematography, but as far as entertainment goes, this movie is not one.

Having now watched the movie and reading reviews, I find myself a little sympathetic to the lead character in the film.

I found the movie to be very dull and boring, I was expecting some twists and turns but it was a very straight road. I thought surely something is about to happen and make the movie worthwhile. Unfortunately it didn't. I couldn't wait for the credits to come quick enough.

Now for the review I've read some of the mixed reviews and I can see that some are finding it to be a relatable story of how women or people feel when they're being verbally abused. I then started to reflect and realise that my mother suffered that for many years, and could see the connection for many viewers.

Certainly not an enjoyable movie to watch and wouldn't recommend. Just be aware that it's very slow and really doesn't reach any heights.. But I guess it's not an action or a thriller it's a psychological drama by all reports.

Tread carefully is considering watching the movie because it'll be a couple of hours you won't get back and most won't enjoy.
