I wanted it to be somewhat tolerable.
This film was absolutely awful. Sure it was somewhat of a Hostel ripoff. That was not even the problem. The film just went all over the place and was basically incoherent . Horrible acting, horrible camera. I was hoping this would be an upper echelon B-Movie , it was a BO-movie, because it freaking reeked. The film was not even gory. You would think if a film was going to be this bad , at least feed the audience with some good old fashioned gore. The film basically left a stereotype of women being naive, money hungry, stupid and giddy. There was no positive retribution at all as far as the fairer sex is concerned. As evil as some of the male characters were, you at least had males that were noble and wanted to do the right thing, so to speak.I suspect the writer had tons of animosity toward females, by the way the script was played. Boring, uneven and juvenile is not a way to go through film making.
Better luck next time
We generally like dodgy horrors that are made on a budget of 50p and a pie from Mrs Miggins pie shop but even one shot on half this budget would outclass this movie ten times over.
It was a seriously, seriously bad film.
I know that anyone reading this is already considering watching this film and like ourselves will probably ignore all these negative reviews and poor ratings and watch it regardless, but do it at your peril! this film really is that bad.
Watching paint dry really does seem a more interesting alternative.
Note to the film makers should they be reading; There's a Hollywood formula that says that in poor films you need to show gratuitous nudity every 20 minutes to keep the viewer interested. Husband thought the film started interestingly for the first 5 minutes that was shot in a lap dancing club but then petered out. Application of this formula would of made this film slightly more interesting though unfortunately not much better.
Poor camera work, poor lines, poor delivery, poor acting, poor effects, poor script and poor me for watching it.

Yecchhh!
"Experiment in Torture" is one of the worst movies ever made. With some of the other recognized "worst films of all time", there is an entertainment value. Who cannot get a chuckle or two from a movie such as "Plan 9 from Outer Space"?
Senseless plot... poor lighting... shaky camera work... horrible cinematography... poor acting... poor editing. This movie has all of those and more. The only thing has any merit is the soundtrack, which certainly is not great but is much better than any other aspect of this film.
"Experiment in Torture" is somewhat descriptive of the plot of this clunker. The title, however, is a very accurate description of the experience of the viewer.

Had something going for it and then that stopped
This movie started out OK, at least for a B-movie, then they lost the only good thing about it... a little skin here and there. Come on, they're strippers, they could have at least kept them showing every now and then to keep us occupied when the story got really slow.
But then there's the story, as one person put it "A muddled mess." Things were all over the place with some things happening for no apparent reason. And what was up with that one stripper who looked like a guy? I could swear I kept seeing hints of a mustache. But I guess most of the chicks were fairly decent, provided they didn't get hit with bad camera angles.
Avoid this movie, it's really not worth it even for a low-budget torture-porn flick. Check the user ratings, they don't lie.

Experiment in Torture. Apparatus: camera, talentless cast, cabin, boat—Method: make it up as you go along—Results: Very poor—Conclusion: Waste of time
I blame Eli Roth: he made shed-loads of cash from his positively mediocre Hostel movies, and a whole slew of wannabe torture/porn movie-makers crawled out of the woodwork to follow in his wake, hoping to emulate his success. Experiment in Torture is one of these copycat films, and is quite possibly the worst (yet), having been made by a director with only a fraction of the talent of Mr. Roth (scary, but true), and starring a no-talent cast destined for obscurity.
In this dire, amateurish, scare-free mess, a bunch of strippers (some hot, some skanky) are lured to a remote cabin for the weekend, where they expect to be paid handsomely to appear in a fetish video. However, once there, they fall foul of a maniac who drugs and tortures them.
Terrible acting, coupled with horrible, horrible camera-work, a lousy script which ultimately makes little sense, and acting that'll make you cringe, all go to make watching Experiment in Torture a rather torturous experience in itself. Admittedly, director Sean MacArthur doesn't wimp out on the nudity and gore, but the whole shebang is so poorly pieced together that nothing much could save this one from stinking to high heaven.
The first half of the movie feels like it was badly improvised, with endless dull scenes of yakkety-yak from the bimbos, and practically zero action. The latter half is an unfathomable, almost unwatchable mess that tries to compensate for being confusing with some nasty blood-letting (a broken leg, an arm slicing, a beheading, plus assorted masochistic mayhem featuring a blowtorch and power-tools).
The makers of this trash would love to think that it's the unrelenting violence that makes watching it unbearable, but it's not: it's everything else!
