Music score.

This episode has a montage when the main character takes photos around the neighborhood, which is extremely evocative and moving.

Not only that, but the accompanying music piece that underscores the scene is truly magical and touching as well.

The creators behind this sure knew how to marry the images to the music, extremely beautiful.

The acting by the lady who plays Rita and the extras surely take you to a different time and place.

Truly moving.

I would like to see the music piece available in a soundtrack.

Great episode but the back up girl looked better than the pinup!

Watched it today on Start TV- funny thing, the best friend was made to look like Betty Page (sp) the greatest pinup of all time, and they did a bang up job, she looked fantastic, really terrific and much more believable as a pinup than the actress who played the lead (maybe it was the bad wig?) The way the lead pinup was photographed made her look less like a pinup than the other girl.- Agree that the furnishings, lighting, costumes and music really made the episode- they even included some of the haunting music from the episode Best Friends( one of my favorites), in the sequence where she takes street photos, as well as lots of classics.

I agree. The music and photo montage that accompanies it is beautifully shot. The whole episode was beautifully made! Transports you. This was really an amazing series as a whole!! But some of the episodes that take you back to older days and evocative of time gone by. It really makes you feel like it was made back in those days. My favorite episodes are the ones of the older crimes. I enjoy period pieces anyway and they really bring it to life. The music the costumes everything. The ones from the 20s 30s 40s 50s and 60s are my favorite. Great film work. I wish the show could have lasted longer. I didn't get enough!

Trivia
The character of murder victim Rita was inspired by fifties pinup superstar Bettie Page.

Goofs
Vera puts a photograph of the dead victim in front of Bettie Sue. The camera cuts to Bettie Sue as Vera asks her whether she remembers the purse in the photograph. Then the camera cuts back to the photograph, and you can see that it's a different photograph because the camera angle in the photograph has changed.
