    What A Let Down

What a let down, following on from a brilliant season opener, this is a massive disappointment!! Some times a silly plot like this can work, but for this reviewer, this episode misses the mark by a mile.

Plot In A Paragraph: Marshall tells the story of when he first moved to New York, he tasted the best burger ever. He then attempts to track down where he had it, along with the rest of the gang and Regis Philbin.

Even with the celebrity cameo and a great performance from Jason Segel and an enthusiastic turn by Neil Patrick Harris as Barney who is excited his company has had a major takeover of Goliath National Bank (GNB) and he because he played a big part in it, is being heavily rewarded , and keeps singing the praises of GNB

I like the bit where Regis punched the phone box and smashed it

    • Trivia
The speech Marshall gives about the best burger is very similar in tone and speech pattern to Salieri's speech in Amadeus about Mozart's music.
    • Goofs
When Marshall is describing the best burger, he says that the buns have sesame seeds. However, when they finally find the "Best Burger in New York," the buns are seedless.
    • Quotes

Marshall Eriksen: Just a Burger? Just a burger. Robin, it's so much more than "just a burger." I mean... that first bite-oh, what heaven that first bite is. The bun, like a sesame freckled breast of an angel, resting gently on the ketchup and mustard below, flavors mingling in a seductive pas de deux. And then... a pickle! The most playful little pickle! Then a slice of tomato, a leaf of lettuce and a... a patty of ground beef so exquisite, swirling in your mouth, breaking apart, and combining again in a fugue of sweets and savor so delightful. This is no mere sandwich of grilled meat and toasted bread, Robin. This is God, speaking to us in food.

    • Crazy credits
In stead of the usual "Bays & Thomas" production logo at the end of the credits, just before the 20th Century Fox logo, the episode has a GNB logo.
