Perhaps the best episode of HIMYM

The episode of HIMYM depicts a how good a character of Ted has written on the show.

Especially in the last scene of this episode, where they all find out stella and decided to follow her, ted decide to take revenge and confront Stella for leaving him at the wedding and picking up the wrong guy.

Ted's anger is justified and he's supposed to be pissed for what happed with him after all, but when he see stella with Toby and her daughter, his anger is all gone away. He realized that a true love isn't forced. She is happy with someone else and he acknowledge that and walk away with his life. That's how such a great spirit of man he is!

"Kids, You may think your only choices are to swallow your anger or throw it in someone's face, but there's a third option: You can just let it go, and only when you do that is it really gone and you can move forward. And that kids was a perfect ending to a perfect love story, It just wasn't mine. Mine was still out there, waiting for me.........."

The scene is so iconic that it will live in my heart rent-free forever!! And god what a good song that was!! (Better by Ragina spector!!)

The inevitable sequel to "Shelter Island"

The previous episode ended with Ted being left at the altar. This one can be regarded as the sequel, illustrating the aftermath and the consequences the gang necessarily has to deal with, before the "Stella"-chapter can finally be closed. How can you make something like that fun?

    Answer: Flashbacks!

This is done quite well. Barney's and Lily's stories are funny, and we learn more about Robin's past. More precisely, about her father issues, which have been first mentioned in S01E14. It's not all great continuity, though. In S01E20, we learned Robin used to play field hockey. Now we see her play "actual" hockey as a teenager. So much for "I never played any teams sports" (S01E06)...

Not the most enjoyable episode, but we needed to get that stuff out of the way. And for the most part, cast and writers make the best out of it.

    Not A Very Good Episode

Not a very good episode from "How I Met Your Mother" this time out.

Plot In A Paragraph: The gang suspect Ted is not as over Stella as he says he is when he tries to hide from her when they discover that they are eating at the same restaurant.

Its interesting enough to watch, but I suspect that I will skip this episode if I ever see it on TV.

I liked the flashbacks scenes (well the full show is told in flashback, so a flashback in a flashback if you will) about how Barney, Lily and Robin would like to dodge certain people if they thought they'd see them again.

    • Trivia
At the beginning of the episode when the gang names off restaurants to go to, the three they suggest are named "Hurley", "Michael", and "Charlie". All three are names of characters from Lost, which also was in its fourth season in 2008.
    • Goofs
In the episode "Happily ever after" (S4E6) Robin talks about how she used to play ice hockey back in Canada. However in season 1 (the "slutty pumpkin"-episode) she claims she never played any team sports, only tennis.
