Extremely Clever Episode

Uses themes of old and modern horror films. A lot like Se7en, a killer playing a game with the police. Cleverly mixes in names and horror elements from from famous horror films.

a really tense and suspenseful episode that makes references to other serial killers as well.

One of the best NCIS episodes IMO.

Trivia
Patrick J. Adams is married to Troian Bellisario, who not only plays McGee's sister Sarah, but is Sean Murray's real-life stepsister. Troian's father/Sean's stepfather is the show's producer, Donald P. Bellisario.

Goofs
The word "victor" was incorrectly translated as being Latin for "victim". "Victor" means conqueror, winner, or victor. "Victima" or "hostia" would have been correct Latin words for victim. Furthermore, 'primitus' is the adverb of the correct 'primus', so this would translate to 'firstly'.
