    Just OK

I really don't understand the high ratings and praise. I mean, this is not a terrible episode, but it is by no means a great one. It is just... meh. Mediocre. Jokes are cliche and average, nothing really funny nor spectacular there.

What stands out to me the most is the problem with the continuity. Jake was in a relationship with Celeste several episodes ago, then there was no mention of her and Jake was trying to hook up with a waitress, then, out of the blue, his relationship with Celeste is here again in this episode. The same thing that happened with Charlie and Chelsea. I don't know if the episodes were not shown in the order they were made, or if it is just the writer's inability to follow a plot line and continuity, because it has been shown time and again that they have no clue when it comes to that.

    Perfect Sitcom Episode

Every once in a while, a sitcom episode is so perfectly written and directed that it makes the craft look SO easy. The Two Finger Rule is one such example. Hilarious! I had a friend who protested, saying he thought Charlie Sheen was such a lech he didn't want to lower his standards to such a level. Said friend busted a gut while we watched it.

The content is definitely not for pre-teens. The episode is rife with hilarious sexual innuendo and drug references. Dialogue is perfectly written and delivered in a manner that is reminiscent of screen directing legends I dare not mention. Enjoy!

Charlie Harper: What are you guys talking about?

Dr. Herb Melnick: Masturbating at the YMCA.

Charlie Harper: Really? Just talk, right?

Alan Harper: Yeah, but the night is young.

    • Crazy credits
Instead of the usual "Men..." voice heard at the end of each episode, this one ends with Alan's impromptu Barbershop Quartet and Michael saying "Zing!"
