- Chloe Sullivan: It's not like anyone's gonna be able to tell it's you, Clark. You're practically just a smudge on the lens.
- Clark Kent: But it is me. People will know I'm out there.
- Chloe Sullivan: And why is that such a bad thing? I know that this is gonna sound totally insane, but think about it. We live in dangerous times. And for people to know that there is someone out there, someone dedicated to saving lives? I mean... that could really mean a lot.
- Clark Kent: That sounds great, Chloe, but it's not that simple. This is my secret we're talking about. If people find out, it's dangerous not only for me, but it's a threat to everyone who knows me.
- Chloe Sullivan: Well, I wouldn't say anything if I wasn't absolutely sure.
