Kalki 2898 AD - A promise that is kept
After a long time, I am absolutely impressed and rather blown away by Indian cinema. For the first time, a movie has been made that does not disappoint, unlike some of the other recent movies that were based on mythologies. This movie perfectly blends mythological references, sci-fi, and Vfx. However, people who are ignorant of Mahabharata and/or cannot appreciate its complexity at a deeper level would be unable to connect. Despite some flaws and boring bits and pieces during some parts of the first half, the movie picks up the pace and builds up a great storyline in the second half. The climax will keep the audience awe-struck. My only request would be to do this movie justice and watch it on the big screen. Prabhas has redeemed himself from his Adipurush persona, and Big B does wonders even at this age! Would be eagerly waiting for the second part.
