The cave family are singing a song and making music in the apartment of astronauts Mac (Frank Aletter) and Hector (Jack Mullaney) while they are away. Mr. Rick Stewart (Jack Albertson, "Chico and the Man", "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory") is a tenant in the building and a talent agent who likes their unique sound and brings them in for a recording session. Apartment Manager Mr. Tyler (Alan DeWitt) dubs them the "Cave Family Swingers". Mac and Hector aren't amused and go after them. Somehow, after leaving the studio and returning home they have a mob of fans surrounding the building and pouring into the apartment. The Cave Family Singers are set to appear on The Fred Gulliver Show, but start making a mess of things.

Speaking of a mess... This is an episode without much direction in my opinion. The plot is lacking and the absurdity doesn't come off as funny here. It is clear that the writers had no idea what they wanted to do with Mac and Hector who seem halfheartedly in the episode and eventually become irrelevant and non-existent here. It's rough to watch and has the feel that they were coming up with it on the fly.
