Shot in a single day at a high school during winter break. The crew thought they had the building to themselves that day, but it turned out that administration was in service, so the school's staff was working in their office a few feet away from filming. Later, a volleyball team showed up to play in the gym, and were asked to wait while the last few shots of the movie were completed.

Goofs
According to tick marks on the wall, Ron and Liz are trapped in a room with no apparent source of food or water for 23 days. This of course would be impossible. There was a scene in which they find a sink with running water for them to drink, but it was deleted for time.
