    Worst episode

Unclear why this episode exists. It has horrible writing and terrible sets. Actors felt forced to act in a very fake way, to try and fit with the old fashioned theme. They all speak in this episode with a really weird accent, but it comes and goes. It is just very awkward and off. Every line is incredibly cringe-worthy. Dan's mustache is also cringe-worthy.

They tried way too hard to make this episode *special*. It just falls flat and is completely unnecessary.

The only redeeming part is Haley's singing. There are a few songs that feature her that are nice.

It was painful to watch and I wanted it to end as soon as it started.

Has America lost its sense of humor

I guess if you didn't grow up loving the 1940s noir and musical movies, you might not appreciate this. Art does not always have to have a point or a direction. Sometimes it's just demonstrating an emotion. This was a fun episode, which acted like an apéritif between a different courses of heavy drama that made up most of " One tree Hill" as opposed to "The OC" which used humor and artistic creativity routinely. Two great shows with very different emotional genres, but I for one, really enjoyed this episode.
