This was a very fun game. One of the best the franchise had to offer. Game Freak developed a pretty good game that has not only a decent story, ok characters, and decent replay value, but of course, so many Pokémon you can catch. Of course there're limits to the ones accessible.
Some of them you have to trade with others, though that's impossible due to the WiFi being discontinued. Others, you need one of the GBA games to get specific kinds. Even with these minor annoyances, it's still a fun game. It's a game I'll play from time to time. If you're a Pokémon fan, I'd say check it out. Try and catch em' all.

Pokemon plat, pearl and diamond was the highest peak of pokemon games.
These games were so good because you actually made a connection towards your virtual slaves while you go on this journey for 8 buttons.
I played and beat all 3. Same game overall but 3 times the fun.
