    Not Bad for Part 2

This episode starts off interesting as Percy has a brief role in the beginning. I can tell Mavis is upset about her previous experience with the Troublesome Trucks and about being confined to the quarry. I think the reason Percy got angry upon hearing Mavis calling Toby a fusspot is because Toby is his friend. I can relate to Mavis when it comes to being confined to a routine or place. It's no fun being confined to one routine or place. Metaphorically speaking, Mavis felt like a prisoner engine as the quarry felt like a prison to her in this episode. However, a turn of events happen as Mavis has to take stone trains that are longer and has to go beyond the level crossing for it. However, Mavis' scheme of asking the Troublesome Trucks to bump her past the level crossing and requesting them not to tell anyone was VERY unwise as every wise engine should know that Troublesome Trucks CANNOT be trusted. Since Toby is available to take the cars, they bump him instead of Mavis. One detail the narrator left out about the bridge above the torrent scene was that a long had knocked down a section of the bridge leaving only the rails behind which form tightrope over the abyss . It's amazing as to how Toby was able to balance himself on the tightrope. That was incredible and I like how Mavis came and rescued Toby. Also, Mavis was brave enough to own up to her mistake on the Troublesome trucks bumping Toby.

    • Quotes

Narrator (UK): One day, Percy arrived at the quarry to collect some stone for his trucks. Snow and frost lay everywhere. There was not a sound to be heard. Percy ventured further. He found Mavis, the new diesel engine, resting in the shelter of some rocks.

      Percy: Cheer up, Mavis.

Narrator (UK): Mavis was still remembering the trouble she had with trucks.

Mavis: Manager says I don't listen to advice. He says I have no business jaunting down Toby's line. Toby's a fusspot!

Percy: [angered] Toby has forgotten more about trucks than you will ever know. You must put the trucks where he wants them, then you'll be a useful engine. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to take these stones to the harbor.

Narrator (UK): [as Percy leaves with his stone trucks] Mavis liked Percy, but she still wouldn't listen to his advice.

Mavis: [to herself] Why shouldn't I go on Toby's line?
