Could be a little bit more fast paced, no?
I'm rather desensitized to true crime, but even I thought this documentary was a bit insensitive. There was barely any talk about the victims and the people they interviewed basically vouched for the killer, praising him and at times almost. It's upsetting, honestly.
I think considering the amount of victims, witnesses, hearsay, personnel involved, the same place used and same people being targeted, everyone agrees that the police dropped the ball, maybe they should've focused more on that? If you're not gonna focus on the killers life, on any of the victims lives, then focus on what went wrong, right?

I dont think there was a single thing in this documentary that I couldn't have learned reading the killers Wikipedia page. The narrator is so monotone and the format is sloppy. This is by far the most poorly made documentary I've ever watched, you can barely call it a documentary. There is no focus on any one thing, the victims are barely mentioned. All you learn from this documentary is that there are several accomplices who never said anything and were never charged for their part. Sadly, the way it looks like the attempt at entertainment comes from the exploitation of the drug addicts who narrowly escaped murder.
How do you produce something like this when there are countless documentarys that set examples. Bouncing back and forth with interviews, alot of wasted dialog and no footage of Pickton? OMG The narrator was so monotoned if it was newer then 2011 i would suspect AI! This could have been condenced to 60 minutes but was needless prolonged with non value adding junk. Not much background info on the victims, as if they are just statistics. Right, everyone remembers Ted Bundy, but who remembers the unfortunate victims? Even one?
So in Vancouver BC, a guy starts abducting prostitutes in the mid 90s, killing them and hiding the bodies on his farm. Farm land had been sold off to developers, so money was good and we are told that attracted unsavory people who moved in and lived off Pickton. Ok, an odd story. What you see are drug addicts who knew him, stayed there and some knew what he was doing but looked the other way as he was everyones sugar daddy. Its a stark look at how far addicts will go.
Its sad what happened to the women. Over 60 missing, 27 bodys found on his farm, and they persued a 2nd degree murder charge? Its sad to see interviews with "former" addicts who knew, didnt get charged and they have zero remorse. This shows many people, low IQs, no sence of guilt or conscience, soul less.
The impression presented is that not only were the Vancouver police inept, they are extremely soft on crime. One person who admited seeing a victim in 1999 and said nothing until the trial years later faced no charges?
A half wit psycho has a killing hobby. Very dark soul less addicts leach off the half wit.
The police personel are very sub standard. There is marginal accountability for crime in Canada. Vancouver has an oddly high amount of addicts and prostitutes. Thats the take away.
