Last Action Hero.
Antim review :
Mahesh Manjrekar's adaptation of Marathi hit 'Mulshi Pattern' (2018) bears his stamp right from the first frame till the last. You are bound to remember his award winning Vaastav (1999) as well as the far superior Lalbaug Parel/ City Of Gold (2010) which had a similar theme of poverty leading to crime.
Salman Khan is impressive as a Sardaarji cop who wants to take all the gangster brigade to task specially Rahulya (Aayush Sharma) who is the new entrant in this big bad world. The movie explores the hardships driving farmers to suicide or crime as well as the political system rot effectively. Bhaijaan gets his punch lines while Aayush delivers a knockout performance as the anti-hero who loses everything whatever he touches...
Antim is a recommended watch especially for those who haven't watched the Marathi original!
