None of the subplots flourished!
"Taqdeer" is a Bangladeshi Thriller Web Series that embodies compelling pieces of filmmaking yet falters quite ponderously with its writing.
An imprecise & tedious screenplay confining the apologue from procuring its due resolution!
For a Bangladeshi Content, this is technically competent enough with fastidious camera work & a meritorious soundscore; conforming to the Overall theme here. In addition, a tempting set of renowned actors and their respective performances!
Barring all these incontestable positives; wistfully, I must point out how middling the screenplay was. It's dawdling, indolent & above all; drags for a long period of time. I could give the first few episodes, the leverage of being a tad bit slower; but not for the rest! Particularly because this was supposed to be a nail biting thriller nevertheless.
There were several subplots running parallel to each other! Yet, quite peculiarly; none established their sovereignty. Each of those failing to come to a resolution. Just as I mentioned before, performances are noteworthy; yet certain crucial characters lacked depth. For instance, the adversary or the bad guy here; never looked menacing nor we descry him as someone with villainous intents.
To conclude, this has been a slight setback. Albeit I still revere the way they maintained surpassing standards in their technical department and in their capacity to carry suspense till the finale; which at the end of the day turned out to be futile!
