Loop Track

I started this film with very few expectations. However I was absolutely hooked to it.

It's fairly subtle and you have to keep your attention to really get engrossed in the paranoia of the loner of the story, You can feel his dread throughout, his shyness, his not wanting to engage with others, who somehow seem oblivious to his needs.

Soon you are engrossed in the movement of the characters and his paranoia. What are these people's intentions? Who can you trust? Is our main character in his right mind - or is it everyone else who is out of sorts?

I really loved going along with this and got very invested quite quickly. It's pretty great, and takes a bit of a turn towards the end which was not expected.

Great film.

This one was a good time but didn't get all the way there for me. They did a great job with tension building and suspense without it being boring and the characters and acting were there for sure. It was lacking a bit in story... I know not everything needs to be spoon fed but I think there was a little too much left up in the air with this one.

Also the reveal was a little silly looking although not awful. It just generally felt a little undercooked, but the things that were successful here I thought they did a really nice job with. This is a slow burn for sure but I think overall worth it. 5.5 rounding down to a 5, would recommend.

This movie punched way above it's weight class. I recommend going in as blind as possible, but since there is a character minimum to post a review I will try to lay out some of the good without spoiling anything. The characters feel as real as any I have seen in quite some time, and by the end I cared about them all. This is far from an action packed film, but still manages to keep tension throughout almost the entire runtime. I found myself constantly searching the background of every shot because it just felt like something would be there, which really puts you in the shoes of the main character, who we see is a nervous wreck from the jump. The climax of the film ends up being such a wild curve that I am amazed they stuck the landing as well as they did. Great effort, highly recommend.

If people giving a note on this film had seen it in a theater, the average note would be much higher. I'd say 6.5 or 7/10. I'm saying that because you usually stay until the end when you've paid for your seat. And that is a game changer because many people can be prone to stop the viewing as there's a feeling of "this is way too long and i'm wasting my time"... you're not.

If you like horror movies, you can go on this one, you won't be deceived.

Yes there are maybe 5 or 10 minutes that could have been cut. But the photography is beautiful, the acting is excellent and this film could be a real life situation. The more you progress in it, the more you emphasize with the characters.

This is the kind of movies i want to see, real life based with a touch of fantasy. Far from all the bs we have at disposal nowadays. I'm sure i'll remember this one.

An absolute amazing accomplishment done with very little money, lesser known actors, in New Zeeland!

Once I saw Carnifex 2022, I kinda knew that this was the standards for Australian horror movies. After Razorback, Rogue and Carnifex, the difference was made by budget alone.

Here comes Loop Track, with its own tone, characters, making you guess all around, great shifts, amazing surroundings, simply put, what a rush!

A rush that starts as evasive and slow as possible, only to build momentum and then let it all out.

I couldn't possibly recommend it more, because it's just such a fun experience, somehow feel good, satisfaying view.

I do not think you can go wrong with this one. It simply is a must.

I'm not going to say anything else because I fear I'm going to spoil it. And I really wanna stay away from giving away any information.

Take it. Grab some snacks. A cold beer because this movie will make you feel the heat from the bush. Sit back, relax and enjoy!
