I watched this with my 8 yo who has recently started playing pool. We both enjoyed the movie. The technical details about the game were pretty accurate. The kid can hold a stick. His stance and bridge were very good, which tells me he put effort in the role. The best thing was the subject was given a light hearted treatment. Even some of serious issues were addressed without unnecessary emotional drama.
