High Guardian Spice was a wonderful show to binge, all of the constant hate around it really didn't give me high hopes but even if they were, they would have been exceeded by miles! This show has an incredibly diverse cast of colored and LGBTQ+ (including trans people!) the first episode felt rough but soon after i found myself hooked on the amazing story this anime tells, i feel like so much of its hate is undeserved, and from what i can tell comes from people knowing about the writing team being made up of mostly women of whom were PoC and Queer themselves; along with the diverse cast I mentioned earlier. All of the main characters have such unique and memorable designs as do a lot of the background characters as well, i do have some grievances with the voice acting however, not with the voice actors themselves, they did wonderful; but more so with quality of some of the audio, this felt most clear with slime (one of my favorite characters) sounding just a tad bit off, but to me it kind of added to the charm, you can truly tell how much work and care went into this anime and it shames me that we're probably never going to see a second season.
