Star Wars Comfort food
This is a nice and cozy show that's 50% Easter Eggs and 50% fan service. Nothing is remotely original or inventive, everything looks like a scrapped early draft from Star Wars. The "laser shield" fight scene wouldn't be out of place at a Comicon cosplay event or a Disneyland parade.
This is just comfort food and as you watch you wait for the next familiar thing to appear on screen vaguely made exciting by expensive CGI.
There is so much talent involved it's sad that they stick to the most basic exact copy of something that was made more than 40 or 20 years ago (the original trilogy/ the prequels).
I adore Star Wars but they can't push the nostalgia agenda forever!
