Trivia
There is a famous painting on the church wall, "The Angelus" (French: L'Angélus). It's an oil painting by the French painter Jean-François Millet, completed between 1857 and 1859. But it couldn't have been the original painting because at the time of this episode, 1890-1909, it was in the private collection of Alfred Chauchard in Paris, so it must've been a print. The original painting is now in the permanent collection of musée d'Orsay, Paris, since 1986.

Goofs
In the opening recap, narrator David Janssen describes Lame Beaver as an "Arapaho chief", when it's been repeated a number of times that Lame Beaver was not a chief, nor did he want to be called a chief.
