- Batman: Nice trick, but can you pull a rabbit out of a hat?
- Felix Faust: You want a rabbit, yet all I see is a sitting duck.
- Batman: I have a few tricks of my own. Observe: nothing up my sleeve.
- [he holds out his hand and summons Faust's book]
- Batman: [thinking] A crime-fighter survives by being prepared.
- Felix Faust: You... you spoke no incantations. You're no sorcerer. What, then?
- [firing a bolt at Batman, who evades it by floating into the air]
- Felix Faust: Huh! A god?
- Batman: [still thinking] To beat a powerful sorcerer like Felix Faust takes years of study in the dark arts.
- Felix Faust: [seeing the Atom appear] The Atom?
- Batman: Or you could just have friends in small places.
- Batman: [thinking] I know what you're thinking. Belly of the whale. It can't get much worse. And you would be wrong.
- Batman: So, you decided to give him another chance. You could have exiled him.
- Aquaman: I know. But you don't give up on family.
- Batman: [thinking] Just when I was wondering if Aquaman learned anything from "The Adventure of the Bad Brother"...
- Aquaman: [taking out a large book] Now, where to begin? Of course. The beginning.
- [Orm covers his ears in frustration]
- Aquaman: Chapter 1: A king is born.
- Batman: ...I realized he knew exactly what he was doing.
- Batman: Someone wants you out of the way.
- Aquaman: Happens constantly. Villains are always coming down here to take a potshot at the kingfish.
- Orm: Little brother, what happened here?
- Aquaman: Everything's fine. Batman here totally saved my seaweed.
- Batman: [surprised] Orm?
- Aquaman: Big shock, I know. But we're talking again for the first time since I became king.
- Orm: After my brother's coronation, I admit pride made me do some foolish things, Batman. But age has brought wisdom and the lesson of the importance of family.
- Aquaman: Those years we were apart were hard on me, too.
- Orm: My men will look into who's responsible for this outrage.
- Aquaman: [watching him swim away] I know, I know. You don't trust him.
- Batman: A tiger shark doesn't change its stripes.
- Aquaman: He's family. Anyway, to what do I owe the pleasure of your visit, my faithful friend?
- Aquaman: Tell me you're joining us for our celebration this evening.
- Batman: Actually, I'm here to check out some unusual seismic activity along the shelf.
- Aquaman: Undersea plate movement? Happens all the time.
- [feeling the ground rumble]
- Aquaman: See? Still, where Batman goes, adventure follows. Mind if I tag along?
- Batman: [thinking] A visit to Aquaman's kingdom invariably means an adventure, due in no small part to his larger-than-life personality.
- Aquaman: [transition to him riding a pair of dolphins with a royal scribe] And thus, I turned back the invasion of the Anemonons. You can read more about that adventure in my new memoir.
- Batman: As king of Atlantis, Aquaman protects all the world's oceans. But sometimes, even the protector needs protecting.
- Batman: Aquaman, are you hurt?
- Aquaman: Yes. I'm hurt that you didn't tell me you were stopping by! How are you?
- [Batman groans as Arthur hugs him tightly]
- Aquaman: [sending out a telepathic signal] Hang on. There's someone else who wants to say hi.
- [a dolphin lets out a squeaking chitter]
- Aquaman: Fluke! Look how excited he is.
- Batman: [thinking] Fluke. The most obnoxious dolphin on the planet.
- Aquaman: Boy, did he miss you, Batman.
- Batman: [out loud] Tell him to release the suit.
- Aquaman: Ugh, Batman, he's just a dolphin, for Neptune's sake.
- Felix Faust: Pandora's box, Batman. And once I've freed the evils from their ancient prison, you will be the first to suffer my wrath.
- Batman: Toying with forces you can't possibly understand, Faust... you know how that ends, right?
