Playing God

10/10

Exercise for the mind

This movie is just beautiful. It discusses a very current ethic dilemma and the viewers are invited to be the jury.

Persons with very different background discuss the issue at hand, among them one who is directly subject to it. Every single person present has a very strong character and a very different approach of the subject at hand, presenting compelling arguments. These are so well worded that they allowed me to fully understand the different views, even though I already had a strong opinion before watching the movie. As if the persons had days to research and prepare each counterargument based on the statement of the opposition. I feel that this should be presented to everybody who decides about legislation in the case. It will also serve as a interesting history piece in the far future.

I can thoroughly recommend it to anyone who seeks to exercise his mind and isn't just looking for action or a way to zone out. Just a warning here for followers of abrahamic religions: At least one person in the movie may challenge core foundations of your belief.
