When a factory building collapses during the construction burying three workers alive, Dr. Lightman and Dr. Foster are hired to learn what happened. The company owner Kevin Warren, Mayor Meredith Fallon, and city engineer Mark Boulware tells them that they do not know what happened. Along the investigation, many secrets are disclosed and the truth about the accident is found with serious consequences. Meanwhile, Torres and Loker are contacted by a billionaire to investigate his fiancée Nadia Dawson since they will marry each other. He wants to know whether she loves him or his money. This type of investigation is not part of The Lightman's Group scope of work, but when Dr. Foster knows the offered amount, she authorizes Torres and Loker to carry on the investigation.
"Life Is Priceless" is an episode of "Lie to Me" with two interesting segments. The main one, about the collapsed building, has so many secrets involved including corruption and it is amazing how Cal and Foster find so many truths in a short time. The case of Torres and Loker comes to an interesting result, showing that the woman loves his fiancé and his money, and Torres proposes a solution to the billionaire's doubt. My vote is eight.
