Öner Erkan in Wild Abandon (2022)

Review by ozmenonur-51369

Wild Abandon

10/10

A Must-Watch Drama of a White-Collar Family

I like human stories in movies and series. This mini-series piece was such a nice example in telling human stories thanks to its pretty rich content. The story tells us about a white-collar family, their members' attempts to liberate themselves from what they socially are. You can find various details about the lives of each family members in the storyline which is perfectly designed, workmanlike.

As you patiently watch the episodes, you will see how they have to stay in touch with each other to find themselves in the detachment from the family. You will also see why they need to have detached episodes to keep their bonds alive in family and life. You will see why each of them creates an alternative persona outside their family that they think heals their wounds in the relationships.

You will be impressed by how the script gives the idea effectively, and how the story is given by the director in such a synchronized and cohesive way. For those who like to see the series from this lens, I recommend focusing on the characters who are complementary for the story, such as Ece, Moloz, and Sofia, as well as the main characters. Long story short, this production is quite helpful in addressing relationship issues of today's white collar people in Turkey.
