I was hoping this series would come up with their own story lines and build on those characters, but copying from the original series and just spinning the stories is showing lack of imagination and just plain laziness. It seems Hollywood can't get out of the past and remakes. I think this franchise is running out of time to invent a series that is 100 years forward of TNG and aboard the Enterprise H-J-K-L. They could create all new characters and continue to seek out new life and new civilizations but unfortunately they choose to continue the path of self destruction. As a side note "Where are the real men on this feminine ship"?
